    80mm for tall riders?

    Hi tall riders

    I am a 6'3.75" rider riding a 22" Anthem Advanced.

I want to change the forks from 100mm (as spec'd here in Oz) to 80mm to sharpen up the bike to the way it was intended.

Any of you tall XC riders/racers using 80mm with no problem?

    Hi,

I use the Manitou Relic superlockout 80mm without trouble.
it has adjustable compression dampening, set it to middle at 240lb and it's great

just be sure to check the a-c length of the fork you're switching to. some 100mm travel forks have same same axle-crown length as others 100mm forks. Marzocchi's tend to run tall/longer AC.
I could tell a huge difference (especially climbing) on a 100mm 'zoke to 80-85mm zoke on my FS-xc bike.
