2008 Fetish Cycles Discipline - $450 - Good Buy for a bigger guy?

Hello - new here. I'm getting back into Mtn. Biking after about 10 yrs. Also, to note, I'm 6'3" and 275 lbs. I want to ride trails, mining pits, woods, all the fun mtn. biking stuff, etc. And I have a buddy who's super into biking and I wouldn't mind being able to hang with him somewhat. I'm looking for a good decent bike for around $500 or so and something that I won't break right away because of my size. I have a chance to buy a 2008 Fetish Cycles Discipline for $450. Wondering if some of you guys think it's a good deal. SOme say it's not strong enough for me. Here's the specs:

2008 Fetish Cycles Discipline double butted aluminum frame
Manitou Axle comp 100mm travel fork
    Shimano LX rear derailleur
    Shimano Deore front derailleur
    Truvativ Iso Flow cranks 22/32/44
    Truvativ cartridge bottom bracket
    Shimano HG50 9-Speed Cassette 11-32
    Shimano HG53 9-Speed chain
    Shimano Deore 9 speed shifters
    Cane Creek headset
    Alloy 30mm rise aluminum handlebars
Alloy clamp-on 7deg rise aluminum stem
    Alloy seat post
    Tektro brake levers
    Hayes MX4 Mechanical w/ 160mm rotors
Pivit disc wheels with 14g stainless steel spokes and Weinmann XTB double wall rims
    Velo saddle
    Kenda Komodo 2.1 tires

OR any other suggestions on bikes for me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The forks and brakes suck for anyone. They are way too lame for a clyde...in my never humble opinion.

Consider a 20mm fork and something with RaceFace or Shimano XT cranks.
