    10 ft

ok i have to wait about 8 months until my shoulder is functional again but in the meantime id like to get/build a bike. im 6ft 2 and weigh around 220-260 depending on how broken i am

i want a bike that wouldn't mind a 5- 10 foot drop( possibly greater) id prefer a hard tail if possible but am willing to look in to FS.. i figured i get a bike like a Kona Hoss or GF Rig for riding but i think id need something a little stronger for breaking my bones .

any suggestions ? im looking to spend around 1500 but understand the laws of more money equals better $%^&

would something like a Kona Five-O Deluxe be suited to propel myself off a cliff?

You're looking at a 6" bike at least. The Rig has 3" of travel, which won't cut it at all.

Look at a SC Chameleon, On One 456, Transition TransAm or something similar for a hardtail. Those three can take 160mm forks.

Just curious, what is wrong with your shoulder? Just asking cause I had surgery on mine in September '08. Mine is still not 100% but biking does not bother it much unless I hit some large bumps and I have too much weight forward on my arms/shoulders, then I get a bit of a stinger, but all in all no problems.

FWIW, I've taken my RFX off 10+ footers regularly. I've watched a guy about your size take his Evil Sovereign off the same stuff I run on my RFX. It's set up as an SS with a Fox 36 and burly wheels. I'd run one of those.

    Brock...
Are the wheels roundish? Ride it.

Disciples Of Dirt, come ride with us.

Yeah, me too. I thought my shoulder was boogered up. I only tore my labrum front and rear while fighting a suspect that fled from me earlier in my shift (I work in law enforcement) and had to have it repaired, but that is nothing compared to yours. Thanks for sharing and best wishes on your recovery.

As am I. I appreciate all that you guys and girls do over there. I have had all my friends make it back who went this far - thank your favorite diety for that.

    THANKS!!
