    Sturdy cargo racks?

Please forgive me if this has been covered before, I've searched to no avail. I'm looking for front or rear racks to attach to a single speed mountain bike that would hold enough for a run to the grocery store. I may get a cargo bike at some point, but I'm wondering what's out there to help fill the gap until that time. The bike has disk brakes, but I could go to v-brakes if needed. What about those one piece handlebar racks?

I use for 3.5years a CETMA 7-rail front rack for countless grocery runs
and additional a Tubus Locc rear rack with Ortlieb pannier, because my
front rack isn't enough both attached to a 26" touring bike with
SS setup (Surly hubs, Eno FW, Paul Melvin, Truvativ cranks w Surly ring,
    KMC chain ect.)

I like it, yet it costs 50 percent of my bike!

Any accessories can be moved to another bike later so you should look at the cost amortized over your lifetime or the projected lifetime of the accessory. If someone gave you a free bike would you never add any accessories to it because they cost more than the bike?

I know, but I'm going to get a cargo bike at some point and may not need the rack.
