    Fenders for my Dummy

    Hi all.

I am in the process of finalizing my winter project, and I am planning on buying some Big Apples in 2.35" or Hookworms to put on my EX729 rims.

However, I am struggling to decide on fenders. I really want the Velo Orange fenders, but they seem to have a maximum tire width that excludes the big tires that you typically want on bikes like this.

When I look at VO Stainless Steel 60mm Fenders, 26" ATB - Fenders - Accessories the max width says "For tires up to 52mm wide.", has anyone tried running these on wider tires?

Any other good suggestions out there? I have gotten the SKS Chromoplastics recommended, and these say that they can take the 2.35" Big Apples on their web page, so they seem like a safe bet.

I'd go for the SKS Bluemels or Cromoplastics in 65mm width.
Still waiting on my BD Frame, but I got the Wheels set up in my donor bike, and the Bluemels fit just fine with hookworms on 30mm rims.

    Cheers
    Dan

Yeah, I ordered the Chromoplastics last week, hopefully they arrive soon. Too bad the Velo Oranges are a bit narrow for the really wide tires, they look so much better.
