I only have one bike I want to mount and carry.
I have a GMC Envoy with a 2" hitch.
Both of these look like decent, fairly inexpensive options for me to lug my bike to and from the trails. The only real difference besides the 2 bikes vs. 4 bikes, that I can tell is the ease of moving the arms up/down (one has a push button, one has a pin to remove), same thing with the tilting it forward to get into the back of the SUV, push button vs. pin removal.
Is there anything else I'm missing?
Like I said I only have one bike right now, maybe will have more in the future, I have 2 year old boy and a month old and a wife, who might one day all ride. So the BigHorn would be ready for if we ever had 4 bikes. Just not sure how soon that will be and I might be replacing the rack by then anyway.
Any suggestions on which one of the two is better for my immediate needs, one bike?
I would consider other brands in the same price range, right now I can get the DoubleDown 2 for $179, free shipping, and the BigHorn for $162 free shipping.
