    Yak Frontloader Heads Up............

Seems like I'm giving these heads ups twice a year. A few months ago, I overtightened the cable tension knob on a Thule Raceway Trunk rack and broke it.
Ditched that thing two months ago and had a permanent Yakima landing pad system installed on my roof. With that, three Front Loaders.
Be careful with overtightening the red front wheel cradle tension knob guys..... Got to the trail head, knob wouldn't budge, even with vice grips. Had to spend half an hour literally prying my bike free from the rack. Yakima swapped it out for a new one without question, and claimed this was the first reported incidence of this happening. They did not warn me against overtightening and said the thread was crossed, but I'm still wary. Been running it slightly looser for a week or so with no ill effects.

    Other than that, great rack!

Sounds like you need a torque wrench
