    Roof rack/Mountain bike help

My mountain bike has hydraulic brakes and i just started putting it on my Yakima Steelhead. When i put it on the rack, the hydraulic caliper on the fork pushes up against the tray and the lock part pushes up against the fork. It works and holds the bike, but the lock part scrapes my fork and the caliper has bent the rack tray.

Anything i can do about that?

this is one of the reasons that the steelhead has been discontinued.
you can do a couple of mods by trimming away a portion of the tray that interferes with the disc caliper.
the other is change the skewer to a standard 9mm universal locking skewer. these 2 things will help get your steelhead working with your disc brakes.
good luck, let me know if you need more help.

Thanks for your help! I think i will try trimming away the tray or maybe even bending it back with pliers or something. As far as the fork im gonna try putting a small piece of cardboard between it and the lock. Ive seen some cheap $30 racks that dont have this issue on CL so i might pick one up soon.
