Hitch-mounted rack for my Mazda3 Hatchback?
My wife & I want to get out and start biking but I don't want to drive my gas-guzzling 4x4 truck everywhere (although it makes carrying bikes, food, and other stuff much easier). Our new 2013 Mazda3 Hatchback will hold two bikes laid down in the back but nothing else. I am looking for a low-cost solution for hitch mounting. I am pretty much decided on a Draw-Tite hitch (1-1/4") but looking at racks there are so many options. I would prefer a hanging rack that folds down and I need to hold two bikes. Looking to spend no more than $200.
EDIT: And how do these hanging racks work with my wife's bike? Her frame curves down - no straight-across bar to mount to. She has a Schwinn Voyageur 24.

I can't directly help since I don't have a hanging rack. The forum's sponsor has a variety of hanging racks, some of which meet your price point. For your wife's bike, try one of the two adapters at the top of the accessories page.
Have fun riding!
I have no affiliation with the supplier and have never bought from them, but don't mind suggesting a sponsor.
Thanks CheapWine. I found the top tube adapter the other day but couldn't figure out how it would hold my wife's bike securely due to the shape of her frame. I didn't trust it and ended up going with a platform style rack. I ordered the Swagman XTC-2 and it should be here tomorrow. It was a little more than I wanted to spend when I added the anti-rattle lock with cable but I think I have something I'll trust.
Try this as a budget option to basically sucky hanging racks. Hollywood Racks: Sport Rider 2
