does a tool free threaded hitch pin exist?

I take off my bike rack after every ride. the threaded bolt hitch pin is incredibly irritating to remove and install each time. Its a waste of time and leaves me with the option of digging in my tool box, leaving a wrench permanently rattling around my trunk or leaving the rack on at all times.

something like this would be the most ideal in terms of quick on and off. It would need to be threaded though to grab the rack from inside the receiver.

a T handle instead of the hex bolt would also be easy to use. Clearance under the bumper could be an issue for some vehicles and hitches though... different length extensions would be a simple fix...

is there a product out there that fits these needs?

the first post is on the right track. threaded with a handle. ideally with a lock on the other end. I do have a plain pin with a lock. but it rattles too much to be usefull. The current threaded bolt i have works fine, but i need a wrench to install and remove. I want to keep the same threaded feature with out the need for tools.

What is the thread size of your current bolt? What kind of clearance do you have around the hitch pin hole?

You may want to check out mcmaster.com and look at T-bolts and knobs. Of course those won't lock, but you wouldn't need a wrench.
