Beginner Questions - Yakima Blockhead / Bedhead / BeddyJo

My wife and I are just getting into mountain biking. We just bought our first bikes, and are looking at the various ways to transport them.

We have a Ford F150, and I'm considering the Yakima Blockhead/Bedhead/BeddyJo. I believe these are called "Fork Mount" racks.

    Questions:

Do they hold the bikes securely?

Do they damage the forks in any way? Seems like the wind shear could put a lot of pressure on the bikes at highway speed.

For the Blockhead/Bedhead, is it best to mount them so that the bikes (in relation to the bed) face front-to-back or side-to-side?

What do you think of the BeddyJo?

Is there some other truck bed rack system I should consider?

    Thanks,

    Big Mac

Don't worry about wind, the cab blocks most of it. Orientation of the bikes is a personal preference, I used to mount mine facing front in the back of my ranger, The fork mounts shouldn't damage the forks. I just bolted the fork mounts to a 2x4 and ran a tie down around the seat tube and then to the bed anchors. Good and stable and cheap, easy to remove when not in use.
