Any Interest: Thule T2 backbone trade (916 for 917)

    Hey All,
Is anyone interested in trading their Thule 916 backbone (2" hitch) for my 917 backbone (1.25'' hitch) ? Hopefully someone has changed cars and changed hitches. I also have a 1.25'' to 2'' hitch adapter. I'm located 15 miles north of NYC. Zip code 10803

    Thx,
    Chan

Not sure if this swap was made or not but I am in the same situation. I've got a brand new 1.25" that I picked up at the REI garage sale and would like to swap it out for a 2'.

    Let me know.

Trailer hitch shops have size adapters that go both ways. Wouldn't that be easier than swapping racks?

Thule are telling me that they do not sell the backbone on its own. They indicate that it will void the warranty if I swap out the 1.25" for 2". (Backbone only).

    Any other advice?
