    Yakima (Hurricane) Lefty Adapter

This past weekend I took my bike with a new Lefty out for a ride. When I went to install the Yakima Lefty Adapter for my roof rack, I could not get the screw to engage the fork's threads. Has this happened to anyone else, if so what did you have to do to correct this issue? The Lefty is a Carbon Speed SL 110 with OPI.

Well, if the wheel is not correctly installed, the brake wont line up with the rotor properly so...

My wheel threads on just fine. The wheel has a Project 321 Hub complete with hub cap & bolt.

I just wanted to make sure that the wheel threaded on. If it didnt I would have said to check the Helicoil.

Try greasing (Park Poly-Lube 1000 is best) both the threads on the adapter and on the lefty axle.
