The product line is usually announced in Mid June.

Keep in mind the 2012 models may not be available until anytime between September 2011 and May 2012.

I appreciate the reply. May I ask how do you know this information?

    I can confirm Brentos' statement.

Mid-Late June with dealers pre-orders and special orders starting to trickle in in September with more throughout the year.

"Trickle" is the key word - unless you are very patient and/or there is a specific new feature/model you want, I'd try to get something currently in production and available.
Sorry - just seem too many frustrated "the LBS/Cannondale said it would be here 4 weeks ago" threads!

Just seems to be the pattern year after year.

It is true with many brands though.

And there are already some 2012 models posted on Cannondale's website... road models but more will come. Officially, they are announced to consumers more in August with the new website and all but we get to see them before as shops get info that leaks out to us...

Anyone know if there will be changes to the Flash 26" frame or the Super X cross bikes?

My LBS just got their shipment in yesterday and I'm test riding and hopefully buying a new Trail SL 29er 2 in the next few days.

This sucks because I want to get into biking and i finally found my dream bike (bad boy, or bad boy solo) and the LBS is out of the 2011 models and can only order a small and I'm an extra large so I have to wait until the 2012s come in.

There are a few 2012s hitting the LBSs around here. I ordered an RZ120 and it is supposed to be here the end of the month. They don't seem to have a launch time for them at all but rather a few models here and there. Even the colors are staggered release dates.

Talked to my LBS yesterday and the woman told me they had limited info on the trail 29er. Seen on the Cannondale website that the 29er 2 had switched to SRAM X-5 Front and rear derailleurs. Whats everyones opinion on these derailleurs?

I just called my LBS and they said that they no longer carry the Bad Boy and wouldn't order it but from asking the rep questions he didn't seem very knowledgeable(i think he is new) I'm going to stop by tomorrow and ask more questions.

If they don't carry the bad boy which do you think would be a good bike for my first bike?

i'm just going to be riding around my town and commuting to work(30 miles round trip) on weekends on a road that goes from 35mph(in town) to 65mph(turns into a highway to a military base where i would have to ride on the shoulder).

I think I've narrowed it down to either the quick cx or getting the trail sl 29er 2.

my budget is around $1k usd. all suggestions are welcomed
