What weight fork oil in the Lefty ?

I have my Lefty DLR2 apart but for reassembly I need some Phil's Tenacious Fork oil .
This according to the rebuild info I have from Cannondale .

    Three questions :

    1) Phil's is not available in my area .
While looking in a LBS , they had one container (don't remember brand) that was
$36 and another that was $54 (WTF)
If lucky , they were one litre bottles , if that .
    2) Can you not just use motorcycle fork oil of the same weight ?
They definately will not be even close to costing this much .
    3) What weight of oil is used in the Lefty ? I know some of it is based on rider
weight and riding style but I can't find any charts that show this .

    HELP .

This won't answer all your questions, but it may help you make a decision...

    Very interesting .
Just like the car oil debate of premium oil vs . no names

Same arguments , just substitute the industry

Sorry , I just realised that I asked the wrong question .
I don't need dampening oil , I need this oil for reassembly of the
    air piston assembly .
It's more or less just a lubrication for the seals in the air chamber .
I ended up getting some Fox shock assembly lube at LBS .

i have a lefty serivce manual for speed dlr2 forks. i was looking thru it since i am going to swap my neg spring for a lighter one.

the manual calls for 85/150 oil so that would be 5 wt oil. i am thinking of going with 125/150 (7.5 wt) because even with my rebound set at the slowest setting it is still abit fast (my fork is converted to 29er, limited to 80mm instead of 110mm, so i am sure it has something to do with quicker rebound).

i think a liter of golden spectro sells for about $20 at most motorcycle shops.

I recently posted something about how there's ambiguous labeling with Spectro oils.

    Check out the pics here:
