New question here. What Spindle Length for RaceFace cranks on Jekyll??

I have a 2001 Jekyll and I want to put a set of square taper RF cranks on it but a 113 spindle won't let the cranks clear the non-drive side of the swingarm.

If your using the Forged LP turbine's you will have to use an adjustable 121mm (hard to find) so you can clear the non-drive side swingarm and set (as much as you can) the chain line on the drive side. I had this set-up on on my 2001 Jekyll 700LTD (sold it for an '04).

Most shops won't install this set-up because the spindle is way to far outside the bearings on the non-drive side. Get a Strong one I think mine was a Race Face ChromeMoly square taper I never had any problems. I'm 205lbs and did occasional 4-5ft drops (at the most) on my Jekyll.

The Cranks are Bada$$ once you get them set up!

Is that maybe a 120mm I cannot find a 121mm. 120 also seems rare. Nice bike by the way.

If you found a 120mm that's the one. It has to be adjustable for sure, both cups are threaded and move.

    Thanks

Had it set-up as my street trainer and an '04 as the Dirt Ride...

I have to clean my bikes after each ride to keep them in the house...or my better half makes me sleep on the poarch with them ;(

    Thanks...I guess?

Okay, I got it installed but it just BARELY clears the swingarm. I'll bet it's about a millimeter of clearance. However, I ride my jekyll on the most aggresive XC setting. If I slackened the geometry I might gain a teeny tiny bit more clearance. I am not sure that I like having BB shell threads exposed on the drive side either. Anyway it DOES work. Thanks for the help.

    Good deal....

Glad it works! It was too close for comfort for me. The LP's didn't fit on my '04 so I sold them with the '01. Great Crankset!!!!
