What is the Lefty Jake?
I'm familiar with most of the lefty models, but not this one. What is the deal with it? Thanks

I think it was a late 90's fork. Obviously there is an expert here who is way more familiar.

It's kind of a bare bones lefty:

BTW, I've met "Jake"... a great dog.

It's a fork you don't want to own, unless you own several.
There were far fewer of those made, than most other models. Subsequently, you almost never see parts for them. I service hundreds of forks a year, and have only seen two or three in the last several years....
YMMV

had one on the gf's jekyll for the last 5 years (bought it used), gets approx 2500km per year on moderate to semi technical trails, changed the oil twice, lube the bearings once a year, occasional bearing reset, otherwise never serviced, no problems. it is "springy".... and potentially for sale, was just replaced by a 140 alloy pbr
