What do you think of the new helmets?

I think they're pretty nice. I might have to get one and become a walking (riding) billboard for Cannondale.

They're pretty nice and the prices are very good, great values. I have one on it's way...

I can`t wait to see one, I am hoping we will get them here as I am very interested in getting one. My current helmet is looking a bit worn out.

I recently broke my Giro phase helmet and have a cannondale one on the way. Should have it today I think. I tried one on and it was super light and confortable.

not a bad design, but I can't bring myself to replace my "lucky" helmet I've had from the beginning...

That is exactly what I am doing. I happenned to look in the mirror w/ it on the other day and realized just how goofy/dated it looked. It will now be my "lucky spare" helmet.

How many years is that? The foam that's the protecting material in a helmet ages, most say to replace a helmet, even uncrashed ones, every 5 years or so... Helmet companies trying to sell more? Maybe but it's not such a big investment for protecting something so precious that's worth the risk IMO.

There is a little of that, but mostly it's helmet companies covering their backside. 3 years is a lot of getting dropped, scratched, left out in the sun, bashed against low branches and so on.

If they didn't expressly state the 'life span' you can bet they'd be buried under law suits from people who got head injuries when their eighteen year old helmet failed on impact. In practice a helmet will last until it gets crashed, an old helmet is still a lot better than no helmet!

Used my new cannondale helmet this past weekend and I love it. Very comfortable and it breathes very very well, way better than my Giro. The adjustment knob is awesome. I can easily adjust it on the bike with very little effort. The helmet is very light as well.
