New question here. What bike color would you want?

I was flipping through the 2008 catalog and noticed that there are a lot of white for 2008, not only from Cannondale but from component manufacturers as well. Then I started wondering if I could have a bike colored anyway I wanted, what would it be?

I personnaly like stealth looking bikes. I've always loved the Cannondale matte BBQ frames and of course the raw/polished/galvanized frames but I have had both and new styles are always good. The new Scalpels are very nice too, even though they are far from being stealth, I like them a lot.

So, what color would you guys want if you could have your next bike any color you could dream of? I'm also wondering, if white is the new black, what's going to be the next cool color after white?

    Orange maybe?

From what I can tell, I like Ball Burnished(BBS). I'm actually going to strip my Super V to the raw aluminum since I just got this and this last night for my Uber V build. Dan, is Ball Burnished a paint or is it the actual raw aluminum?

It's raw, the surface is smoothed and hardened in the burnishing process.

Am going through this dilemma myself as I look to get a gravity bike. Am considering white or black; don't want it to be the same as my raw Prophet. Was initially leaning towards black, but the ability to "pimp" out a white bike with white components (like in the Eurobike photos) is tempting...

Just wondering though about the dirt factor on white. Does it get stained permanently?

Personally I don't like colors (i.e. blue, red, green, orange, etc.) for any vehicle; be it a car, truck, or bike. Not sure why.

I had a Scalpel frame that I purchased on ebay that was all white with light grey cannondale on the down tube. Getting to the point, when I built this bike up it was the best looking bike I ever saw. The problem with the new frames is that they are kinda loud with the orange on them. My vote is for white with one color writing on it and no stripes.

Matte Black with either Gloss Black or Gloss Gold Lettering/Detail. I also wouldn't mind having a Pink Cannondale with all white components...like an obnoxious Cream Saver.

    Lightning White ....

Ok, I know white is today's bike fashion, but I love this colour.

It's on the 2008 SuperSix Ultimate road bike. I've seen it up close and the pic does not do it justice, the white is a pearly white with metallic silver and metallic candy red decals. Really nice.

I would love to have a Taurine in this colour, I might ask my LBS if Cannondale can paint me one....

Personally I like RAW, POLISHED, or GALVANIZED. Not only does it look awesome, it shows off the skill & craftsmanship in the builder (also why its the most expensive to manufacture, because you cant hide blems with paint)!

Isn't Sam Hill's Sunday bright green? And I think I remember CG riding a bright green Commencal at Sea Otter...

    1- Matte Black
    2- Land Rover British Green
    3- XTR Grey
    4-Raw w/ black Clearcoat
    5-Burnt Copper

Never would I buy White. Unless it had a 2008 Black Lefty Max 140

For me it's always been the BBQ black. I'll always buy whatever bike comes with this frame and strip/rebuild with my own components. I've been doing this since 1998 ('98 F400, '03 F800, '06 Rush, '06 Prophet).

i like just about any matte finish or the raw aluminum look. i'm more inconspicuous and plain & simple when it comes to stuff like that.

i know this is for c-dale, but i do like the paint of the new specialized stumpjumper:

kinda low-key, almost camouflaged. like you barely even notice it speeding past you in the woods...

C-dale did highly polished aluminum quite well. My vote is for chrome. But, I also tend to pick out the ugliest combo color/design running shoes(according to my wife) so maybe just spin the palette and see what happens.

not mtb related but I'm in the air about which six13 I'll get. White, or blue/black.

hard choice. white is certainly a popular color choice for '08 bikes.
    My one says BRAP!

Nice! New? Like a new bike, it looks way too clean!

I also like that red and white vehicule in the background. If we base our bike colors on our cars, mine is cream white and bronze/gold!

Yep, got it in August. The car in the background is my co-workers 1960's early 70's (I can't remember) land cruiser.

210,000 ticks and still going! But I'm not so sure I'd want a bike too match it, I didn't pick the color, the good deal on it picked the color... but my next bike will probably have Formula Oro Puro brakes, to match the gold accents of course.
