well, they dont fit very tight, they pop on.. If you pile some stuff in there, I can imagine the stuff jumping up and down might pop the cap off.

Hot melt glue will be strong enough to hold it in place while allowing removal if necessary.

My top cap sits tight but thats now part of the mobile phone mount....here----> The best use for a Lefty top cap yet!.....then il make a bubble wrap bag to stop things from rattling....

If if the plug isnt a tight fit on the bottom il just use some glue as mentioned or insulation tape to make a snug fit....or just super glue it on then all i have to do is ease out the top plug and pull the bag out the top....

I lost mine in a small gap between the concrete porch and the house walking my bike into the house the very first day I had it, not even ridden yet.

I run capless now and use the space for a multitool that I keep in an old sock to keep snug/noise free.

Well as iv not been able to find a top cap iv used one of these as it was just right....

The cup base is prety much the same diamiter as the inside of the head tube so when hammerd in to about the 15 mark and cut off the excess its a perfect tight fit....

A little vid showng it in action....
