Want to change Super Fatty Ultra DLR to rigid fork...tips please

I have been having issues with the Fatty on my 09' Bad Boy Ultra. I really dont utilize enough as I have it locked out all the time. I'm thinking about changing it to a rigid suspension-corrected fork. (Niner, Surly, Salsa)
Any tips, tricks, advice, suggestions, info, etc is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    JT

umm, the niner fork is not suspension corrected. I do not think that it would be the best option geometry wise. Also, isnt the fatty head tube a different size to accommodate the extra junk that make it bounce?

If you go a fork with a 1 1/8 steerer tube, you will need to get the adapters to convert from the 1.5.
I've been pondering this for my F3 as well. Been tempting to contact a custom builder to make a Rigid Lefty or Rigid Fatty to stay with the 1.5 steerer tube.

FWIW, you could easily make that fork rigid by locating a short section of plastic pipe, slotting it, and then cutting to the length of the extended damper rod.

King Devolution Headset. then you can have any 1.8" fork you want!

All you need is reducer headset like this one ( mine comes at flash carbon ) and then you can run any conventional fork with 1 1/8 " steerer dia.
And for rigid fork , Ritchey carbon fork , it is pricey but seems to me , best bet .
