Upgrading Left PBR from Knob to Remote Lockout

    Hi

I have been using a Scalpel 2011 with Lefty PBR and its knob/push button for some months, but to really get efficiency on the races I miss for a remote handlebar lockout system.

I have been searching how to upgrade it but just found a few of information. I am wondering if some of You already made this modification and could share the steps with me/us.

I have found this but it seems I have to change more parts:

    Cheers !

I am in the same boat 2011 Flash C-2 29 with Carbon PBR

You will need an XLR damper...
In my opinion the total expense doesn't justify it.
I'll make sure my next bike will have an XLR..

You need the remote control unit, and a new top collar.

You'll need to have a competent shop do the work too, as the whole damper needs to be torn down to do the mod.
This is a Pugs not some carbon wannabee pretzel wagon!!

    Hi
Thx. But can the PBR damper be reworked or do I need to buy a new XLR damper to replace it?

You use the existing damper, they are the same for both models. You need to remove a small set of control pieces internally, to be able to go from PBR to XLR, hence my saying you need to tear it fully apart.
