Swap stock XCR 1.7 for Spinergy Xyclones?

I already have upgrade-itis. Got my Scalpel not long ago and I'm already thinking about swapping the wheels out. The DT Swiss wheels seem pretty good, but I've always liked the Spinergy's.

    Advantages disadvantages to both?

I'm not so sure going for the Spinergy's is an upgrade... They're not so light, they don't have particularly great hubs (DT hubs are much better), they are not UST or tubeless ready.

Very good points. I think spokes are becoming harder and harder to come by too.

Yeah, I gotta agree with Dan Gerous and amillmtb.

I got the XCR 1.5s on mine, and in spite of breaking several spokes I love them. They're nice and light and they look really cool too (at least the white rims on my bike looks really nice)...

Of course, if you're married to the Spinergys you can sell the the XCRs off and get some pretty good money to help with other upgrades too.
