SV 2000 With Carbon Rear Suspension.

Good Morning. I have the above Cannondale, aprox year 1997. Dark purple. I bought it second hand a number of years ago, it is now in need of a complete new gear set etc. Cost about 350 needed to spend to get up to scratch, I do not know anything about these bikes. is this a good old model worth spending the money on or should i be putting it on ebay and getting a new bike. If it is a good desirable model worth spending the money on then i am more than happy to do so, just fancied some worthy apinions. Thanks in advance.

IMO, it's not woth spending much on.

A: The rear shock is no longer suported, parts, service, etc.
B: The carbon swingarms were prone to failure, and subject to several recalls.
C: It's an older style of swingarm attachment, so updating it to an Uber V is not possible.
D: The Headshock that it comes with, is in the same boat as point A.

That said, if it gives you a chubby, keep it and ride it on Sundays, no harm in that, but as a daily rider, I'd find a new friend
This is a Pugs not some carbon wannabee pretzel wagon!!
