    Super v1000 replacement DD50 Headshoks

I have a 96 super v 1000 with DD50 headshocks. The shocks only lock out and no longer have any spring to them. Does anyone know what type of Headshoks will fit this bike? They no longer make the DD50.

Any Headshock or Lefty will fit.

    Only caveat is this.

If your headset cups are wider than the headtube, and have pinch bolts to hold the bearings in place? You'll need a modern press in SI Headset, which runs about $60 IIRC....

    Happy hunting!

I wouldn't happen to know really, but I'm gonna go out on a whim and ask if this headshok requires you to put air in it and fill through the bottom using a suspension pump?

Good thought, but that fork is elastomer sprung, not air, and the elastomer has rotted to nothing.....

The Headshok does not have an airstem under the forks.

I wonder if a new elastomer would do the trick, the trouble would be finding one and installing it.

Link above not working for me so I can't tell what it says, but I got a new spring/elastomer kit for my 94 delta V. This should work with your fork, but unless you have the right tool it's really difficult to get the old spring out.
