Super Fatty DLR80 fork suitable for 98kg rider

The name seems to suggest it would be perfect, but jokes aside...

I'm 6'5", 98kg, I've been riding a full susser Specialized FSR XC Expert 2010 for the past two years and I want a new bike which is more geared to cross country riding as apposed to downhill stuff, as this would suit what I do more.

I've been looking at a few hardtails and noticed my local bike store has a good deal on a 2012 Canondale Flash Carbon 4. It looks like a good bike but I'm kind of worried about the Super Fatty DLR80 fork which for one looks different to most forks and also has only 80mm travel. Also the carbon frame. Considering how heavy I am.

Does this bike suit me or should I be getting a stronger bike?

you'll be alright with that frame fork combo weight wise, i believe 300lb is the limit. you are quite a tall chap so i'd recommend test riding a 29er also. regarding the fatty, i've had various models over the years and loved them. i am not saying they've all worked perfectly, but the last, a 2011 dlr was very good.

for rider weights and correct air pressure, you'll find the pdf's on the cannondale website.

    Thanks parkincake.

I went to look for that information but Cannondale site seems pretty difficult to navigate. I could only find this years bikes.
