    That's a very cool idea

    Not quite as neat as yours, Mr. flap, but this is a good DIY solution I think (not mine)



    Of course a bit more hassle, since you would need to thread the end of the cable through it, where the design above gets around that nicely...

    This one is quite clever too, and doesn't need the cables to be undone to fit....



    It's a white cable tie going around the brake hose with a 5mm piece of clear tubing spanning the gap right behind the hose to keep it in place and spaced off the tube surface. (for some reason it took me a while to work out what's actually going on in that pic!)
