sl4 brakes , leaking fluid from reservoir.

Okay, so I just changed pads on my sl4, they are helix 6. When I first got the bike they were amazing. So sharp and precise. After six months I needed new pads as the front ones were fading, so I replaced them with sintered ones. Anyway the ones I put in were a tiny tiny bit thicker, but still fitted fine. When I pulled the lever hard a couple drops of fluid came out of the air hole on the reservoir. Is this right ? It's never happened before.
