Sizing On New Cannondale Mountain Bikes

58.5cm horizontal top tube on the regular Flash (and new Scalpel) vs. 59.3cm on the Flash Carbon 29'er. This puts me in a bit of a quandry. I've got a medium 2009 Scalpel and was riding 54cm Cannondale SystemSix road bike, but now I've switched up to 56cm SuperSix and the Medium Flash 29er seems to fit perfect with a 110 stem, I ride 120 on the road.

At 5'10" I feel like I'm in between Medium and Large on the 26" Carbon Flash/Scalpel bikes. Anybody out there who rides a 56cm Cannondale road bike who feels comfortable on a Medium anymore? I'm 5'10" 178cm tall....

I'm the same. I run a 56cm super six, large rush and a medium scalpel. The super six is fine. Large rush needs straight seatpost and 90mm stem but has a big saddle to bar drop. Scalpel is setback seatpost and 110mm stem. Saddle to bar is about the same. I'm 183cm but have shorter legs / longer torso. The thing that annoys me the most with the scalpel is the seat tube length. Too short in comparison to it's peers.
