    Schwalbe Smart Sam and Scalpel

Has anyone tried Smart Sams. Any clearance issues with a 2.1 on a Scalpel. Rocket Rons rub on my non drive side.

I have tried Racing Ralph EVO and Rocket Rons EVO but they dont last very long. I rip the knobs off of racing ralph and The Rocket Rons Always have the threads showing thru the rubber. I am hoping the Smart Sams will last longer. I have also gone thru a good bit of Kenda Karmas. I always rip the knobs off of the Karmas too.

I ride in Miami, mainly Oleta and Markham. The rocks and roots tear up my tires.

I was also considering Maxxis Aspen. I need to keep it light.

Want light AND cheap? Go with the classic Dart/Smoke combo. I used those on my Scalpel and enjoyed awesome grip. Performance sells them in the off season for as little as $21 (currently $25) - not bad for a 560g 2.1" tire.

I've also had very good luck running them tubeless - no burping or other problems.

I can barely get my mouth around it.
