    Scalpel on backorder, fml

I placed an order for a Scalpel 3 almost 3 weeks ago. Credit card wasn't charged so I decided to give Cannondale a ring. The lady said the Scalpel's are backordered until late December/early January! Eff...

I don't really have the patience to wait that long, but than again the Scalpel is my best option (fit and function-wise) at the moment. I will really be disappointed if it gets delayed any longer...which is likely.

    That's not too bad.

I ordered a Flash 1 29er on June 26. My order was placed as Cannondale put the product codes into their system on July 1. I sold my old bike in late August based on a September delivery date. The date has now been pushed to January 31, and is likely to get bumped much further.

Based on one I rode, it's worth the wait. I've decided to buy a used bike that won't lose much value over the next 3-6 months so that I have a mountain bike to ride until my Flash ships.

Where do you live? Do you really want to ride your Scapel in January?

Similar to Brentos , I ordered my SuperX when the product codes were available but I received in mid September, had to keep twisting arms though.

....I live in the northeast and I will be riding my Rize and my SuperX in January.

I do live in California so it's very plausible for me to ride it. Bikes are meant to get dirty either way. However, I'll be spending all my days off this winter snowboarding so the bike will probably just be sitting in the garage...er, my room! I just know that if I cancel the order I may never reorder. Must. Be. Patient.

I live In Canada so Dec-Feb we're usually covered in snow. Hang in there, it'll be worth it when you get your bike.
