    Rush 3000 build...

    Hi,

I just got to get a few rides on my new Rush 3000. All I can say is WOW!! I'm very impressed with this bike. I picked this bike up as a warranty replacement for my misaligned Scalpel. Cannondale has been a very cool company to do business with.

    On to the build info.

    07 Rush 3000
    Fox RP23
    Lefty Carbon - Terralogic
    Stans ZTR355's w/ American Classic Hub R - Lefty Hub F
    Bontrager Acx B rear 26x2.10 (run tubeless w/ stan's)
Kenda Dread Tread 26x1.80 (run tubeless w/ stan's)
    Easton ec90 carbon riser bars
    Cannondale 110mm 5* rise stem
    USE 400mm SUMO Carbon post
    Fizik Gobi-Ti seat
    Magura Marta SL brakes front/rear
    XTR 960 crankset
X0 Grip shift w/ cut down Oury Grips
    X0 Rear Deraillieur
    XT Front Deraillieur
    Sram PG990 cassette
    Sram chain
    Time atac xs pedals
    Stainless bottle cage

Total build weight as listed - 24.52lbs.

I was very happy with the weight considering it is an Aluminum frame.

I will post pics in the next day or so. Let me know if there is anything you would recommend changing - I was considering flipping the tires, possibly running a crossmark 26x2.10 up front and the dread tread 1.80 out back.

    Thanks.

    Matt

Interesting build as I am in the process of trying to slowly work my Rush down under 25lb. Now down to 26.5lb, but I was planning on a Carbon SL fork to replace the DLR alloy, Stan's wheelset for racing to replace the mavic 819, XO to replace X7 and a few Ti bits. I hope to find another 2-3lb out of the bike. (it really helps to work at a bikeshop for credit!)
On the tires, I dont know where you ride, but usually the larger tire runs up front for more cornering traction. I was going to try the Crossmark LUST tires as I have found Michelins and Hutchinsons a little fragile for Arizona conditions with all the sharp rocks.

I'm currently in the same position after having received a beautiful new Rush 3000 BTC frame last fall to replace a cracked Super V frame. Currently I have purchased:

    Thomson Elite seatpost
    Sram X.0 Twisters
    Sram PG-990 cassette
    Sram PC-991 chain
    Shimano XT front mech

As you can see my build will be very similar to yours, although a Lefty Speed SL and blue I9 wheels are on my wish list. I'm not sure if my wishes will come true, though, and I'm also debating between the Marta, Marta SL, and Mono Mini brakes. I hear that the the Marta SLs are a lot more for just having carbon levers. My goal is to get it down to the 26 lbs or less range, but I'm not sure how that will go as my frame is an XL. I also have a red 800 that weighs around 30 lbs, and despite performing rather well it does leave a little to be desired.
