    New question here. Running a Lefty on a "Normal" Frame

    I'm sure this question has been asked before, but a quick search revealed nothing. So even though I'm sure my wallet would thank me for forgetting to ask, but is it even possible to run a Lefty on a "normal" frame?

    My current set up is a 2005 Specialized Stumpy FSR with 5.1" of fox talas travel. I really like my current frame, but the fork bugs me. It's not stiff enough and has some crappy play in the stanchions. I've test ridden the lefty on a 2006 Prophet and was impressed with its stiffness.

    you will first have the reduce the c-dale 1.5" steerer to 1 1/8".

    depending on which model lefty you want, you can use pne fo the products below;
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Project-321-Cann...QQcmdZViewItem
    for alloy lefty max forks.

    or
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Project-321-Cann...QQcmdZViewItem
    if you want to use a lefty carbon/speed fork with bonded clamps.

    also, you will need to make sure you current ht length will work with these clamp systems.

    crown to axle # (withOUT sag);
    my speed dlr2 110mm carbon fork is about 480mm
    my lefty max 140mm is about 510mm

    good luck
