Rst deuce 29 fork tire width

Anyone out there using the lackluster rst deuce 29 fork tell me how wide of a tire you can run? Have a stock sl4 and would like to fatten the front tire more than the 2.1 that came on it.
    Thanks

I ran a Maxxis Ardent 2.4 on it before upgrading the fork...the tire fit fine, aside from occasional rubbing from the rim flexing under strain. (2012 Trail SL4).
