My new/old model Jekyll, it's a 2011 but it was a demo and never ridden. I love this bike worlds different then my RZ 120. The bike is still stock but I'm thinking about a TruVativ Hammerschmidt or new brakes.

Completely overhauled this after purchase last year. Since taking the pics I have installed a new rear hub and xt pedals but that's the only difference. The only work left is to get the front shock professionally serviced and fitted with a lockout. But that's 400 bones so I can wait.

The Jekyll is a great bike. Mine is called Beast.

Funny you say that.. I wanted the 3 for the same reason. Lol. It's got the dyad and the rest is good old middle of the road stuff. At the end of the day the bike is more bike than I'll ever need.

Anyone out there happen to have a 2014 Jekyll 1 carbon? I'm considering a used one and I'm really interested in finding out what it weighs and just some feedback in general.

Sorry to hijack the thread. I'm thinking about switching my old companion (a Size M 2007 Prophet 2 I've heavily modified over the course of time) for a 2013 XL Jekyll 4 Alloy I found really cheap down here. The thing that concerns me the most is the sizing. Measuring 183cm (just a hair over 6ft) in height with 85cm (33 1/2 inches) of inseam, I'm afraid I would be too stretched in the XL Jekyll.

I've been looking at the geometry charts, but I feel the geometries aren't even comparable. The Jekyll seems much more slack and low than the Prophet, has shorter chainstays, etc...

Regarding my fitting on the Prophet, I run a 80mmx5 stem, 760mm bars, and almost all the seatpost out. The Jekyll comes with a 50mm Thomson stem and 740mm bars. I am comfortable pedaling on the Prophet, but on steep, fast downhill sections I feel as it would send me OTB. As years passed by I began to feel more comfortable on slightly bigger bikes, while in the past I would have chosen one size less to get better maneuverability.

If anyone with similar body stats could shine some light on my doubts, I would be very thankful.
