Eh. That sounds a bit strange. I'm quite sure my F29 Carbon 1 size L weighed less than that. It's about 9.35 without tubes, but with XTR pedals and a bottle cage.

I'm going to get smaller discs and another saddle, hopefully that will drop at least 150 g.

There will always be variations in weight from one bike to another (heck, a tire in the same size and model can vary by as much as 50+ grams so with the variations of every components... you do the math).

Also, most of those kind of balance are not the most trustworthy, lots of variations there too so unless you use the same balance for each bikes, don't take the numbers as absolutes but more to get an approximate weight range...

    Real weights Cannondale bikes

Scalpel Ultimate with Maxxis Ikon 2.25 tubeless, 180mm front rotor (replacing 160mm), Arundel carbon cage, Garmin 500 computer and XTR pedals >> 23.1 pounds on a calibrated scale. This was about 5-1/4 pounds lighter than a similar setup on my aluminum FS bike, a 2008 Titus 29r.

My large F29 Carbon 3 was 22.7lbs out of the box (without pedals and front rotor fitted). Pretty light for a stock bike.

    2014 XL frame Cannondale Trail SL1 29er

    Stock weight 28.57lbs / 12.96kg
(note that this is with the supplied stock black Cannondale pedals - they're heavy, I'd guess 550g+)?

Upgraded weight: For info, bike weight with pair of Crossmax XL 29 wheels with WTS Quest 2.35" tyres, plus SuperStar El Plastique Nanos = 27.18lbs / 12.33kg.

The saving of 0.6Kg is probably 200g from the pedals, 430g from the wheels, although this is with MUCH larger WTS tyres than the Cannondale supplied low volume WTB nineline tyres and, with slimmer tyres on, we'd drop another 300+g further from the wheels), so would be closer to 12.05Kg (26.5 lbs).

    Tyre weights
    Quest tyres 29x2.35" = 1740g pair (+100g? sealant) = 1840g
    WTB Nineline 29x2.0" = 1074g pair (+ pair tubes @ 450g) = 1524g

My carbon 3 F29 with carbon ATAC pedals in size XL is 20 pounds and some change on a bathroom scale. That's after changing it to 1x10. Taking off the 2x parts dropped 13 ounces off the bike.

2012 F29 Carbon Large frame. Not really stock anymore as you can tell from the pics. Getting under 20 lbs I will be chasing grams and reliability will probably suffer going for super light stuff. I am content with this weight for now.
