    pump track/skill developing bike build?

i was in my bike shed this evening sorting out a box of parts and i've found enough parts to basically build up a whole bike, i just need a frame, i'm after something i can play about on, improve my manuals and pump skills on and muck about on round town, i have a flash and a jekyll mk2 for xc and all mountain but being from a bmx background i miss playing out, i've been looking at a cannondale chase frame but its a bit expensive to just buy on a whim and i cant find much info on it, its a medium which seems to mean it has a 22.5" top tube, that sounds long to me, i'm about 5'8" and heavy but smooth and easy on gear
this is the list of bits i've got
    rockshox sid race forks
cannondale xcr 1.7 dt swiss wheelset
    x9 rear mech 10 spd
    x9 shifters 9 spd
    9 spd chain and cassette
    fsa afterburner bb30 cranks
avid elixer 5 brakes fr n rr
    sdg bel air saddle
    morse grips
easton xc90 70mm stem (too long??)
    various bars and seatposts
    all kinds of tyres
so all i need is a frame and maybe a set of cranks and a bb and some flat pedals but without all the studs they all seem to have nowadays (far too much grip for adjusting foot position )

is the chase a heavy frame? i know its built for street and jumping any idea on an actual weight as i want a light weight build if possible
would i be better off with a size small sl frame or something older like one of those beasts from the east that i remember lusting after when i was a kid, i'd like to keep it cannondale if possible
what should i be scanning ebay for

    cheers in advance
