price of new RZ 140 frame

anyone know what a new frame goes for? Aluminum, not carbon.
I have heard retail is ~ $1,700. Seems a little high...but maybe not?
    I haven't seen any online...just complete builds.

$1,700 seems high to me, as well, but I don't know exactly what they are selling for. Have you tried calling a few dealers?

    same frame as 120?

isn't it the same frame as the 120, just a different rear bracket? Bracket is $60 + new shock...

no...only because I want to know "real world" prices...not full retail.
There are tons of great deals in the classifieds (MTBR, Pink Bike...etc).
My days of full retail are over.
I think I may have to follow your suggestion though...to get a benchmark .

    if you can find em...

I just bought a 2010 RZ 140 3Z for way off retail. Haven't seen any frame only options out there... Seems like the RZ 140 has somewhat of a cult following due to its brief existence and all around balance.

If you have a frame to give them, you can get it for $1250 (last time I looked) and you get the full lifetime warranty.

    thanks for all the info...
the thing is...I HAVE a new RZ 140 frame from a warranty replacement and I may have to sell it.
So I'm trying to find out what a fair asking price is.
I don't want to price it too high, nor would I want to give it away either.

I've got a new still packed in the box RZ140 3 frame off ebay for $800. Package also included BB, Truvativ Stylo 3.1 Crank set, X-9 FD, X-9 RD, Seatpost, Seat, Monarch 3.3 shock, KMC X9 chain. After selling all the unnecessary parts for about $100 frame and some extras I've left cost me about $700.
No lifetime warranty, however. And I paid $480 for the swingarm I managed to crack. I think it was welding defect.
"Flow" is characteristic of the rider, not of the trail.

Negative. The 120 has steeper head and seat tube angles.

140 has has 68 and 72 deg. head and seat tube angles, respectively. The 120 has 69 and 73.5.

This is according to C'dale's 2010 catalog, FWIW.

I can barely get my mouth around it.
