Price check on 2011 Flash2 good deal?

is $1599 a good deal on new Flash2??

looks like they have comperable Shimano gear vs. SRAM on the 2012.

FYI, I just asked my shop about this exact bike today, sticker for $1700, and they told me I could get it for $1400. I'm seriously thinking of jumping on that deal as that's about a 20% discount.

run, jump, or crawl to that deal. unfortunately, the C'dale dealers in Phx have little to no Flash inventory of 2012 let alone 2011 and are not expected to have any until the spring. I called every dealer in Phx (6) and found one 2012 at a nice small shop but the owners have a stiff upper lip and 2K was the best they would do.
another shop closer to me had the only 2011 Lg left and were more flexible and offered it for $1599, seems like a fair deal considering.

MSRP for 2012 is $2099 with shop pricing around $1850(average) I don't know what the MSRP for the 2011 is/was, if someone knows please post up.

25% discount would be ideal for an older model

New I paid $1799 for my 2011 Flash 2 29er. It was a current model year bike.

I'm looking at the 2012 Flash 2 with a floor sticker of $1900. I'm not too familiar with haggling protocol at bike shops; any thoughts on what would be a good starting point on that one, or are they unlikely to budge on the current model year prices?

Hey folks, just to update, I picked up my 2011 Flash 29er 2 about three weeks ago. I paid $1375 plus tax after negotiating with the bike shop. Size X. Ridiculous deal, love the bike.

Always been a road rider (first a Cannondale CAAD 8, now a SuperSix), but I've so far found this bike to be a great intro into the world of the 29er.
