Just picked her up. Got some work to do. Got the 26er, well, because i just prefer 26ers. I do have stock handlebar, seatpost, X9 Shifters, crankset, Cassette and break set also. Have the Easton EA90 Wheelset, but still looking to fill in the gaps, and what i have already is not set in stone. Major one obviously is which fork to go with.

Any ideas on where to go with components will be appreciated.

Good eye.... When I picked it up the guy that built it for me at my LBS said "it came with a chainguide so we threw it on there". I have since removed it. Not sure why Cannondale sent it with that chainguide, I don't really see a need for it. I am thinking of putting some bashguard solution on there though.

    Replacement Trigger 26

Here's my Carbon Trigger 26. It was my replacement frame for a cracked Rize. I'm more than happy!

It was my first ride on the new frame and it seems my saddle is at a bad angle.

Gotcha- I never got around to install mines (don't think I need it)- I did upgrade to an AbsoluteBlack Spiderless Chainring- for a much cleaner look

Here is the latest upgrade to my 29er1. Have fitted a 40mm stem to go with the 780 bars. Wow, really sharpens the steering up. Definite improves the feel and is a welcome assey to the Supermax design.

Go for the large and get a super short stem with wider bars. The trigger will take a 40mm stem in the lefty Supermax.

    Isn't that Trigger 3?

edit: "The Trigger 29 2 and 3 have similar components, however the Trigger 3 loses the dual rear shock and has instead a XFUSION P1-RL 130MM with remote lockout. Other differences between the 2 and 3: the 2 has a Fox 34 Float CTD FIT 29 130MM, 15QR fork and the wheels are WTB Frequency Race I23 29'ER TCS w/ Formula Hubs. The 3 has a Rockshox Revelation RL 29 fork with 130MM of travel and WTB ST I23 29'er TCS wheels with Formula Hubs."

Dibbs, bike looks sick! How did you do your 1x10 setup and is it working out for you? I just tried to convert to 1x10 on the same bike and it's not shifting through the cassette very well. Thanks!

Thanks Jason. The 1x 10 is working great, no shifting issues at all. I'm using the original spider with a raceface N/W chainring. The chainline seems pretty good - silent in all but the lowest gear.

You might need to check your B tension screw to see if that's causing your issues.

I've been riding for many years and have ridden many bikes - this thing has blown me away. The two travel adjustments really work, not just some marketing crap. Cannondale really did their homework on this one.

Thank you for the quick reply! What is the range of your cassette? I have an 11-42 so I've had to max out the B tension screw in an effort to get the derailleur out of the way of the chain when on the 42 cog. That portion is working smoothly however, it's causing issues down in the 17 and below cogs when changing gears in that range.

    Hi Dibbs
    Your trigger looks great
I am just about to get the same xl Trigger 2 from Pauls cycles at a great price.
    How have you found yours?
What have you ridden in the past to compare to?
    I am coming from a Rip9 ,I am 6 feet 6 and it's a big bike that rolls like a motorcycle
I am just a bit concerned about the smaller wheels
    Your thoughts would be appreciated
    Thanks
    Steve

Best full suspension bike I've ever owned. Currently running 1x10 with a 30t oval up front and an 11-36 XT cassette. Will eventually move up to 1x11, but I'm enjoying the burn on my steep so-cal climbs for now.

I'm lucky enough to be able to ride some killer trails right from my front door down in San Diego.

Been kicking around getting a 30t oval, too. What's your experience with it (good/bad/indifferent)? Is it an absolute black or one-up?

I had a 30 oval(absolute black) on my trigger for about 5 or 6 months. I was pretty indifferent on it. It didn't blow me away, but it was by no means bad. What I really hate about 1x systems is that I seem to go through front chainrings reeeeeaaaallllly fast. Like I am eating through 2 a year. I am about to switch to one of those sram steel direct mount chainrings to cut down on expense. Even if they don't last longer, they are 20 bucks a pop instead of 70.

Has anyone tried their Trigger 29er with 27.5+ wheels and tyres? Just smashed my Stans Crest rim on my Trigger 29er1 and thought I would look at all the options. My thoughts are the Lefty will be no problem, but the rear wheel will be tight.
Also, if I get a new rim does anyone know where I can get the lovely Stans Crest Green decals?

Some artsy pics. Also some recent changes, a 32t absoluteblack oval chainring, Easton lock-ons, and Specialized Butcher/Slaughter combo.

Do you mean 27.5+? If so, I'm wondering the same thing.

I have just put 2.6 Nobby Nics on my new Flow mk3 29er wheels. Plenty of clearance.

Looking again at my 2.6. I think a 2.8 would fit providing it runs true. Reckless n there would be 3-5mm each side. 2.6 is the safer option as schwalbe are make no the Nobby nic with no increase in height over a 2.35 tyre (which is what the Trigger came with).
