New question here. oversized flat bars

    Hello,

I'm looking forward to buy a new 'dale, the Prophet and as far as I know it comes with 31.8 stem clamp. I'm die-hard flat bar rider so I would like to know if anyone has one that lasts - I have found out that Bontrager, Ritchey and Syncros (last two being probably the same as Syncos is part of the Ritchey empire right now) make these but I'm not sure about the quality. I've been using only Easton bars (and rebranded old school Syncros) for the past few years so I would like to hear from others. Are there any other makers...

Bontrager makes a lot of "not too impressive" products but their bars and seatposts are good and light. And now that Syncros is owned by Ritchey, Ritchey parts are lighter, XC-oriented parts while the Syncros family are more Freeride oriented so maybe the Syncros will be heavier but stronger... I'd stay away from carbon bars if you want one that lasts.
