Over reset the bearings on my Lefty

I was doing a bearing reset on my Lefty Carbon Fox RLC 130. The manual says the extended measurement should be between 740 and 750 mm.After pounding on it for a while I got it to about 725 mm. It went from about 725 mm to 765 mm with a good whack on it and now I can see the bearings coming out from under the carbon part.
Did I really screw it up? Is this something I can fix myself?
I have searched and can't find what to do if you get over zealous on a bearing reset.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I am going to Moab tomorrow.
I posted this in the Lefty bearing reset thread but thought it might get noticed quicker as a new thread.

When you say "pounding on it for a while" do you mean pulling on the lower by holding on to the axle stut.. or did you actually somehow use a hammer? I know this isn't directly giving you an answer on how to fix it but might clarify how it happened.

I was just holding the handlebars with one hand and throwing the wheel down with the other. No hammer involved.

Well I went out and bought a Prophet off craigslist last night. First ride on it today on Slickrock.
I will tear into the ol' Lefty when I get home I guess.

I wonder where did you see that extended measurement should be between 740 and 750 mm ? It is Max 130 and in the manual it is clearly stated 720-730mm.

He needs some glasses or he was looking at the 140 RLC which I think they only made for 1 yr.

In a desperate move you could have pulled the Lefty and steer tube off the Prophet and put it on your current setup. I know that works because that is what I did. Prophet to Rize 140 with the same Lefty.
