New question here. Options with old Headshoks

I have a Super V 900 from around '96 with the stock DD50 Headshok. I was curious if anyone had any opinions related to replacing/updating the shock. I have been very happy riding the hell out of the bike and am in the process of switching out some componentry. I would like to work with what I have if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

I upgraded my dd50 to a fatty several years ago and it made a huge difference. I don't remember how much it cost and dd50 is so old now they may not carry the upgrade kits anymore, that you'll have to ask a dealer. Suspensions have come a long, long, long way since the dd50 so really anything you get will be much better. Manitou Black forks are a good value and would match your rear suspension well. If you're determined to have a Cannondale fork it'll be expensive if you have to buy a whole new assembly. I'm not positive but I believe the bearings in your fork are limited to 60mm. travel, so if you can't get the fatty60 upgrade like I did, you are looking at a new fork.

    Check out ebay

Check out ebay. There are 2 headshoks on right now. I would upgrade to 80mm. you bike should accept it. They changed the fork blades to accept the longer travel. Do a search on headshok on ebay.
I can fix it............... my dad has an awesome set of tools
