    I don't get it?

What do the front wheels really offer in comparison to a regular front wheel?

I'm wondering how that would perform in a nasty rock garden...

Crazy design except I can't figure out any major advantage over a conventional urban assault bike.

I can see many disadvantages though...

I think many people are trying to 'invent' something that has never been done, that will sell like crazy so they can live off the idea... It rarely works because you don't invent something to make money, you invent something to solve a problem, to help achieve something more easily and the likes. This invention is in that 99% of inventions that has no use and will probably never sell too much... It's like trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist, and introducing problems that weren't there in the first place in the process.

The flavor of the month. Yuck. I ride BMX and I wouldn't touch that contraption with a ten foot pole! Just like Dan Gerous said: How would it do in a rock garden? Never mind that. How would it do in a normal US street? full of cracks and uneven pavement. Can you say "ouch"?

Hehe... I didn't wanna get all negative right off the bat like I usually do, and it's fluffy bunnies and candy canes for me, but that is the same thing I was thinking.

    Ouch.

dont knock it before trying it. lets see how it would do on skinnies or rooty singletracks.ha ha ha !!!!! hows about a set of stairs???? ha ha ha. seriously you could probably ride it in a hockey arena with no ice and play some sort of perverse version of polo combined with ringette!!!!!!

So then it should be marketed as part of a game set probably like a fusion of polo and lacross. All for the price of 47.95 and if you act now they'll throw in a 2nd "street surfer" for twice the price!?!?

I don't know, I think they will end up in old folks homes, it looks like those walking support devices but for bikes.

Hmmm in the video, they show lots of launches, but almost no landings. Maybe when they spliced out all the crashes that's what they were left with - lol.

"I'm wondering how that would perform in a nasty rock garden.."
Considering it's called a STREETsurfer, I'm guessing they don't intend it to be used that way!

And one final stupid random thought:
    Looks like permanent training wheels

To be honest it looks kinda stupid to me. I can think of many reasons why it's a bad idea and none that make it a good one.

Reminds me of landing gear that you would see on a 747.

I remember that thing too, it was one of Cannondales many 'show bikes' that never comes to fruition...
