Now my Lefty won't hold air .......

About 4 weeks ago , my Lefty DLR2 started leaking oil at the bottom of the
    fork boot .
I was told that I couldn't hurt it if all of the dampening oil cycles out , I'd just
be riding on air (pogo stick) without dampening .
Today , it lost all of it's air
I pumped it back up but it was gone in a couple of minutes
I changed the valve core in the bottom of the Lefty but that didn't help either .

Short of complete teardown/rebuild , any ideas

If its not the valve, then most likely a problem with the piston or piston o-rings. I actually had a piston crack and cause loss of pressure. Remove the bottom cap (requires 24mm socket) and check the o-ring on the bottom cap, and remove the air piston. They can be replaced and they arent expensive, after my experience we ordered a few to keep in the shop as backups. If you are leaking oil anyway you may as well go for the full rebuild.
