    New Crankset for my Scalpel

I am looking to replace the crankset that came with my 2003 Scalpel 1000. I think is deore or Lx, not sure but creaky and flimsy. Any suggestions, been lookin at XTR, FSA or maybe some C-dale Hollowgrams if I can find them
    Thanks

I know that the hollowgram crank/bb combo requires a frame with a larger diameter shell to accomodate that setup, so those cranks essentially only work with the team issue frame. Pity, cause those are some really nice cranks. FSAs are nice, as are the Race Face Next if you can get past the gimmicky looking carbon insert. I'm looking at Next arms in compact 94x64 bolt pattern and running 2x9 with a Sugino 42t chainring and C-dale 29.
