This is the 160mm travel bike, not the 130mm trail bike. Think of it as the replacement of the Prophet MX (that never had Lefties) and another bike will replace the regular Prophet...perhaps with fresh new Lefties.

That curve in the material in front of the frame totally ruins getting any kind of outline of the frame!! augh (Yes I tried inverting the colours and played around with the lighting etc ad naeseum)

I heard that they were in trouble with regard to the development costs of the two new bikes... Hope that don't effect anything.

Anyone else think that looks like a double crown fork?

    Good Luck

Will the new bike fall apart, like the new Scalpel, and have recalls on its carbon cranks and Lefty ??

Can C'dale survive all the **** going down ??

Looks like a Scott Ransome. But what is the angle of the seattube and the fronttube, and the front looks a mile high.

The fork must be the longest 160mm fork ever built, if you just look at the distanse from the center of the front wheel and to whats apear to be the handlebar.

Doesnt look like a bike too use if you are in a hurry to get up a hill

Hah, Hah, Hah very funny! You're only afraid to be hooked on cannondale again
Imagine this bike to be a 160mm travel AM rig with a full carbon fiber frame like your Mojo,
with a "Dual Lefty" and full xtr group (including the cranks)...... see, I bet you're drooling already

    Let's not forget the 130!

If you pay attention, you can see many details of the bike beneath the cloth. My kid's mom is a Photoshop expert, and she said it's no real cloth, it's made over, just see how angled the fabric is around the wheels. It's probably copied from the 160 and just layed over to cover the pic.

But look through it, you can see the Lefty Max, and see the logo in red and the rear triangle is pretty visible, you can see the logo in red too, and both the shock and its linkage! It may sound stupid, but those of you who have a LCD monitor, just look from below the screen and you will be able to see almost the whole bike!

Just got myself wondering how SOONER will be that!

    Yip!
You can see the decals on the downtube, the rear shock, the chain- and seatstay (no swingarm?), the scalpel-like suspension link between seatstay and shock, etc.

This is like trying to mentally undress a chick who might be hot, but you're not sure where the clothes end and the body begins. Whatever these bikes are they both look like they're going to need a push uphill.

You got it! The one with the Lefty is supposed to be 130mm All-Mountain and the other a 160mm Big Mountain. The Lefty is supposed to have Fox internals and work just as a RLC fork, or if you like, as the Lefty Speed RLC.

    Do I see this right???
Is there no chainstay on the driveside of the 130 Fully???
You can see 'a chainstay' with 'Cannondale' on is, but this chainstay does to my opinion not cross the "Max"-logo on the Crossmax ST rim...
Could it be that the visibile chainstay on the picture is the inside of the non-driveside chainstay???

And you can see a spoke crossing the chainstay.
So... this means the chainstay you see is the non-drive chainstay...
    So... NO DRIVE-SIDE chainstay???
    That's a rear Lefty !!!

It looks that way, but then the chain and the seatstay clearly cross in front of the tire, so it looks like the bike has two seatstays but only one chainstay (on the left as well), or perhaps Cannondale didn't mean for us to manipulate the image like this, and the thing under the cloth is either a (badly) photoshopped mockup, or a partly built unit with only one chainstay (?).

All good fun anyway, and nice viral marketing from them :-)

It's probably just a dropped chainstay on the drive side. A chainstay as high as the one on the non-drive side would surely hit the front derailleur under compression.

The drive-side missing the chainstay would look like this...

    I
'm sooo happy for a long travel Lefty.
The 130 will be super light I'm sure, to help it
compete with the new Trek and Specialized 130's!
I'd hit it, but I bruise like a peach.

I would assume that the engineers know alot more than me and did their homework, but that asymmetrical design looks like it would introduce some weird torsional and twisting effects.

That would be my assumption as well, let's hope so for their sake. It is a design that can be pulled off, motorcycles also use it from what I understand. Looks interesting for sure!

Yes, it seems there's no chainstay in the drive side, but isn't the seatstay too thin to hold all the weight and torsion?

it looks like the last photoshopped photo has been way "photoshopped" Its missing things from the original like the disk rotor and bulge from the right fork strut. It looks like a little more than contrast was altered.

This one under the covers I believe is their 130mm travel model. It looks very similar to the new Scalpel except it has a pivot near the BB & rear derailleur and of course different geo.
