New Cannondale owner.. Worried..
Hi guys and gals!
Recently received an XL framed Cannondale(unsure or the model), as a gift and kinda nervous to leave it in public. Its a relatively attractive bike(silver/black color scheme.. CF bits etc.). This is my first decent bike in YEARS.. And I have no idea what to do to protect it.
Can you all weigh in on what lock/locks to buy(leaning towards a NY fuggedhaboutit).. Also, how do you protect the removable parts? Brakes, gears, pedals, handlebars, seats etc?
Would love to be able to ride to the subway, chain up and come back 8 hours later to a ride home.. So am I overthinking this at all?
I do live in a the city(DC), not sure how prevalent theft is, but I'm sure it happens at a decent clip, as it is a busy, commuter city.
Thoughts, ideas, school me!

You cannot be too paranoid about protecting your bike !
ALL locks - no exceptions, are just illusions - if someone wants your bike, they will open any lock.
My advise to you - Never ever leave it alone in public - locked or unlocked.
