Need help replacing Jekyll's handlebar with Sunline handlebar

I have a 2000 Jekyll 500 with the stock stem and handlebar and I just bought Sunline's flat bar, stupid me didn't know/think that the diameter of the stock stem that holds the stock handlebar is why smaller then the diameter of new Sunline.

Any ideas on the fix, return the Sunline, maybe there is a replacment on the stock stem that can handle a wider handlebar?

    Thanks.

You should get a new stem. Does the bike have a lefty? If so I have lefty stems piling up.

Thanks but no Lefty, it's a head shock and where to find a 1/2" stem and also the stem has an angle and would like to keep the angle how do you tell what the angle is?

Well I did some research and I need a 1.5 steer dia. with a 25 degree and 31.8mm clamp size, like I am going to find that.

Headshok and Lefties use the same size stem. They are not actually 1.5" they are slightly bigger. So you will need a dedicated Cannondale Lefty/Headshok stem with a 31.8 bar clamp. Do you know what length?

You may be able to find it lower if you search around. Headshok stems for a 31.8 bar are fairly uncommon.

No, $75 for that is way over priced. I'd keep a look out for something cheaper.

It would be cheaper to return the 31.8 bar and get a 25.4 bar to fit your existing stem.
    My Cannondale Lefty keeps failing....
