Need help, ideas for older f2000

    hello cannondalers,
I have a red with yellow lettered f2000, cad3 cannondale in great shape and would like to either restore it or upgrade it. I think it is about a '97 or so, has a judy xc shock (which is crap) has xt v-brakes and deraillers, cheap coda crank and bar. Just been using it for boppin around town, light off-road and gravel, and ocassional 20 mile rides on local path. Anyway, i am wondering if this frame is good for the cannondale headshock, rigid fork, etc or should I just upgrade it w/ new fork, go 1x9 etc?
    thanks for your ideas,

You can rebuild that Judy with an aluminum cartridge and even extend the travel to 80mm with a 'long travel' kit. I have one on an old GT and it's not horrible.

A headshock would be a good race fork, but they are not plush. The do track like few other and get the job done as far as being a shock, just not plush.

IMHO, it's a good frame for whatever you want to do with it; grocery getter to xc racer, the choice is yours.
